Allen scraps Paris film, returns to London

LONDON, April 18 (UPI) -- Director Woody Allen has abruptly canceled his Paris film -- even though Michelle Williams and David Krumholtz had already been cast.

Sources told Daily Variety Allen scrapped the untitled project because its budget was spiraling out of control and another film in London was "a more attractive option" from a production standpoint.

The London film, which is top secret like all of Allen's films, will be nothing like the aborted France movie, which was reported to have been about young Americans in Paris, Variety said.
