Can Robin Williams drive 'RV' to the top?

LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- After a four-year hiatus, Hollywood director Barry Sonnenfeld returns to the big screen with a film that might be considered his most autobiographical.

The movie, "RV," is being released April 28 and stars Robin Williams as a dad who tries to reconnect with his wife and two children by packing them all into a motor home and hitting the road, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday.

"I had this fear I was never going to direct a movie again," Sonnenfeld said during a break from filming a television pilot on location in Pacific Palisades.

"RV" is a story of professional setbacks, disappointment mixed with relief, new insights into parenting and marriage, and finding laughs during tough times. These elements can describe not only the movie but also director Sonnenfeld's four-year sabbatical from filmmaking.

A former cinematographer, Sonnenfeld won acclaim for an eccentric comic style with "Men in Black," "Get Shorty," and "The Addams Family" but his star descended rapidly after "Men in Black II".
