NEW YORK, April 12 (UPI) -- The star-studded Broadway revival of Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park" will close after its May 31 matinee, producers have announced.

Amanda Peet, Patrick Wilson, Jill Clayburgh and Tony Roberts star in the production directed by Scott Elliott.

The show started previews Jan. 24 and opened Feb. 16.

When it closes, it will have seen 108 performances and 27 preview shows, Playbill.com noted.

Producers will only recoup about 50 percent of their initial investment, they said in a statement released Tuesday.

Talks have begun on the possibility of a national tour, Playbill said.
