LOS ANGELES, April 10 (UPI) -- "Roseanne" star Johnny Galecki has signed on for the second lead in the CBS comedy pilot, "The Big Bang Theory."

Galecki and Jim Parson will portray two brilliant theoretical physicists who know little about real life, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The show marks a reunion for Galecki and creator Chuck Lorre, who worked on "Roseanne" together for ABC.

Galecki was most recently seen playing a guest role on ABC's comedy, "Hope & Faith."
