LONDON, April 7 (UPI) -- "Lord of the Dance" Michael Flatley and his girlfriend, Lisa Murphy, have ended their six-year relationship and are no longer living together.
Friends told the Daily Mail Flatley, 47, was "sad but philosophical" about the breakup.
"He said that it was not just a long-term girlfriend like Lisa that he needed but something more," an insider told the newspaper. "He then turned to me and said, 'I'm at a stage in my life when I want a wife and a family.'"
The couple had homes in London and Ireland, the Mail said.
The couple has split before and reconciled, but friends said this time it appears to be permanent.
Flatley, a native of Chicago, was preparing for his new stage show, "Paper Tiger," and refused to comment on the breakup.
