Nic Cage and 50 Cent to 'Dance' on screen

LOS ANGELES, April 5 (UPI) -- Rap superstar 50 Cent is expanding his Hollywood resume with "The Dance," a bio/boxing film starring Nicolas Cage.

The Universal Pictures film is based on a 2003 documentary by John Darling Haynes about prison boxing coach Billy "The Kid" Roth, Daily Variety reported Wednesday.

Roth retired from prizefighting and volunteered to coach boxing in Louisiana state prisons for more than 40 years.

Cage will play Roth while 50 Cent will portray an inmate serving a life sentence with a talent for boxing.
