Hank Williams Jr. gets CMT Award honor

NASHVILLE, March 29 (UPI) -- Hank Williams Jr. will receive the Johnny Cash Visionary Award during the 2006 CMT Music Awards, it was announced Wednesday.

Other performers who have won the award include Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, Johnny Cash and the Dixie Chicks, CMT said in a news release.

Williams will receive the award during the CMT Music Awards ceremony April 10 at the Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville.

The ceremony hosted by Jeff Foxworthy will be aired live on the CMT cable network.
