LONDON, March 28 (UPI) -- Actor Jude Law says the radio play he is preparing to read for BBC Radio 3 is "a puzzle of words" and "a great excuse to sit and talk."

Law will perform "The Verb" written by Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella on April 1, the BBC reported Tuesday.

Law and Minghella previously worked together on "Cold Mountain" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley."

"The Verb" is being presented as part of the network's celebration of Irish playwright Samuel Beckett.

"It's lovely working on something by a great writer who was inspired by a great writer," Law said. "It's a puzzle of words -- a great excuse to sit and talk for a couple of hours."
