Barry Manilow extends Las Vegas stay

LAS VEGAS, March 26 (UPI) -- The Las Vegas Hilton has extended Barry Manilow's exclusive engagement at the resort through 2008.

Resorts International President and Chief Executive Officer Nicholas L. Ribis presented Manilow with a ceremonial key to the Hilton in announcing the extension to a packed house Friday night, Resorts International said in a news release Sunday.

Manilow's latest album, "The Greatest Songs of the Fifties" recently achieved platinum status.

His Vegas show, "Manilow: Music and Passion" opened Feb. 23, 2005.
