'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo

LOS ANGELES, March 23 (UPI) -- The news Thursday that actor Tom Cavanaugh has been cast in the lead of a CBS pilot means "Monkey Love" probably will not return to the Eye Network.
CBS pulled "Monkey Love" a few weeks after its debut, but did not cancel the drama outright, Daily Variety noted Thursday.
Cavanaugh is probably best known for his four seasons playing the title character in NBC's "Ed." He will star in the pilot of "My Ex-Life," a comedy from 20th Century Fox TV, Variety said.
In other pilot casting news, Jeri Ryan of "Star Trek: Voyager," "Boston Public" and "The O.C." will join James Woods in Spike Lee's "Shark," Variety said.
