HOUSTON, March 22 (UPI) -- The boy band New Edition, now grown up, has announced its first gig with the original lineup since 1986.
Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell, Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe and Johnny Gill are scheduled to take the stage at Houston's Essence Musical Festival in July, E! Online reported Wednesday.
The group announced in January it would tour again in 2008, E! noted.
The Essence Musical Festival had been staged in New Orleans since 1995 but moved to Houston because of damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.
The festival lineup also includes Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Earth, Wind & Fire.
