"I'm just doing the show for a while, might do another 'Joe Dirt' movie in the summer," Spade said. "That's about it. The show is really starting and that's what I have to do, like my day-to-day job."

Spade said the "Joe Dirt: Electric Dirtaloo" script has been a work in progress and "Sandler thinks it's funny."

The universally panned original, which brought in box office receipts of $27 million, has found success in the home video market. Spade said "Joe Dirt" has been one of the Sony's biggest sellers at Wal-Mart stores.
