'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo
LOS ANGELES, March 19 (UPI) -- Some of Hollywood's top stars are bringing the folk tales of Uncle Remus to home video in the animated film, "The Adventures of Brer Rabbit."
Nick Cannon stars as Brer Rabbit with support from Danny Glover as Brer Turtle, Wayne Brady as Brer Wolf, D.L. Hughley as Brer Fox and Wanda Sykes as Sister Moon in the video from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
The "Brer Rabbit" African and African-American folk tales were chronicled more than 100 years ago by Joel Chandler Harris and more recently adapted by Newberry Award-winning author Dr. Julius Lester.
"The Adventures of Brer Rabbit" includes original music from Stephen James Taylor and songs by Michele Brourman and the duo of Monty and Kimaya Seward.
The DVD, which includes games among its bonus features, hits U.S. store shelves Tuesday.
