CMT nods announced in Nashville

NASHVILLE, March 16 (UPI) -- Country music fans have awarded superstar Faith Hill with four nominations for the 2006 CMT Awards.

The nominees were chosen by 1.2 million fans voting on CMT.com and were announced Wednesday by Miranda Lambert and Trace Adkins, who received three nominations each as well.

Three of Hill's four nods are shared with her husband, Tim MGraw, as the the duo are up for best video, best collaboration and video director of the year for "Like We Never Loved at All." Hill received a solo nod for female video of the year for "Mississippi Girl."

Other triple nominees in addition to McGraw, Adkins and Lambert are Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood.

The awards ceremony will be April 10 at Belmont University's Curb Events Center in Nashville and broadcast by country music cable station, CMT.
