LAS VEGAS, March 14 (UPI) -- The ShoWest convention meeting this week in Las Vegas has named Hugh Jackman its Male Star of the Year.
The "X-Men's" Wolverine will be honored during Thursday night's closing ceremony of the annual exhibitor's convention, The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.
"Hugh Jackman's impressive accomplishments as an actor, ranging from the gentle leading man to action superhero, has made him one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents," ShoWest's Mitch Neuhauser said.
The third film in the series, "X-Men: The Last Stand," hits U.S. theaters May 26. Directed by Brett Ratner, it also stars Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Shawn Ashmore and Kelsey Grammer.
