LOS ANGELES, March 13 (UPI) -- Rappers Master P and Silkk the Shocker pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Monday to carrying unregistered weapons.

The brothers -- Percy and Vyshonn Miller -- were fined $720 each and ordered to perform 40 hours of community service by either helping with Hurricane Katrina relief or speaking to high school students about the dangers of guns, TMZ.com reported.

As part of the plea bargains, the felony charge against Master P was reduced to a misdemeanor while Silkk pleaded guilty to a felony and had three years probation tacked onto his sentence, TMZ.com said.

The Miller brothers could have faced up to three years in prison if they had been convicted in a trial.
