Sturgis Bike Week adds concerts

STURGIS, S.D., March 10 (UPI) -- The annual massive Sturgis Bike Week in South Dakota is about to get bigger with a new concert series featuring A-list performers.

The concert series kicking off at the 66th anniversary of the Sturgis gathering will include performances from Aerosmith Sammy Hagar, Big & Rich Keith Urban Steve Miller, Cheap Trick, Steppenwolf, Fabulous Thunderbirds REO Speedwagon, .38 Special, Foghat, Georgia Satellites, Greg Rollie, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Shooter Jennings and others, Pollstar reports.

A 34-acre natural grass amphitheater has been built for the shows, which will accommodate tens of thousands of fans, Pollstar said.

This year's Bike Week runs Aug. 6-13. Promoters plan on making the Rock'n the Rally concert series an annual event to coincide with Bike Week.

Tickets for the individual concerts will range from $50 to $70, and go on sale March 10 at www.starticketsplus.com.
