LONDON, March 9 (UPI) -- British celebrity couple David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, have settled their London libel suit against the News of the World.
The couple took the tabloid to court for an article headlined: "Posh and Becks on the Rocks," Sky News reported Thursday.
"The defamation proceedings brought by David and Victoria Beckham against the News of the World have been resolved on a confidential basis," the Beckham's rep said in a statement Thursday.
Beckham, a major soccer star, and his wife, the former Posh Spice, refuted claims made by a former nanny who was quoted in the New of the World as saying the marriage was a sham.
