Maura Tierney to make NY stage debut

NEW YORK, March 8 (UPI) -- "ER" star Maura Tierney was named Wednesday as the first cast member for the Off Broadway production of Neil LaBute's "Some Girl(s)."

The May 17 opening at the Lucille Lortel Theater will be Tierney's New York stage debut, Daily Variety reported. Other cast members will be announced shortly.

Tierney will play one of four women who are visited by a former boyfriend before his wedding.

Former "Friends" star David Schwimmer headlined the London production of the play.
