Zach Braff grabs another film project

LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- NBC-TV's "Scrubs" star Zach Braff is set to adapt, direct, produce and star in the remake of the 2002 Danish film "Open Hearts.

Paramount Pictures reportedly won an intense bidding war for the project, The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

Braff became a Hollywood A-lister with his critically hailed debut, "Garden State," which won Independent Spirit and Grammy Awards and was nominated for numerous other prizes, The Reporter noted.

The Paramount deal reunites him with Pam Abdy, who produced "Garden State."

The film is expected shoot during Braff's summer break from "Scrubs."
