LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- Monster Magnet frontman Dave Wyndorf is hospitalized in Los Angeles, recovering from the effects of a drug overdose, it was reported Thursday.
The Los Angeles hard rock band has canceled its European tour as a result, Roadrunner Records said on its Web site, Blabbermouth.net.
"The battle with one's inner demons is the most personal fight any of us can undertake," the band's manager, Steve Davis. "The fight is at times a lonely, confusing journey."
Davis said Wyndorf is expected to make a full recovery from the Monday night overdose.
"With the grace of God and those who love him we are all confident that Dave will rebound from this set back and continue to play and make great rock and roll," Davis said.
The band recently recorded the follow-up to 2004's "Monolithic Baby," which is due out this summer on SPV.
