Tracy Morgan gets probation for DUI

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- "Saturday Night Live" alumnus Tracy Morgan was given three years probation and sent to alcohol awareness classes for a Los Angeles drunken driving arrest.

Morgan entered a plea of no contest last week to misdemeanor drunken driving, and prosecutors dropped a second count against the comedian, E! Online reported Friday.

Morgan, 37, initially pleaded not guilty to the two counts lodged against him after he was pulled over by police on Dec. 2.

Morgan's attorney initially claimed Morgan was the victim of racial profiling, E! Online said.

Morgan, who appeared on "SNL" from 1996-2003 has been cast in the untitled NBC sitcom pilot written by and co-starring "Saturday Night Live" head writer Tina Fey.
