BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Palm Beach County, Fla., authorities are not charging actor Joe Pesci for allegedly punching a fan in the mouth, it was reported Thursday.
Assistant State Attorney Jill Estey Richstone told the Palm Beach Post "there is no likelihood of conviction" because there were no witnesses to the alleged incident in Boca Raton, Fla.
Juan Carlos Montenegro, 24, claimed Pesci, 63, punched him after he took the actor's picture in a parking lot Jan. 22 -- even though Pesci had asked him not to, the newspaper said.
"You shouldn't have been interrupting my business," the newspaper quoted Pesci as saying as he popped the Broward Community College student in the mouth.
A police report filed after Montenegro complaint described the student's lip as "red and slightly swollen."
