Surviving Bee Gees stage private concert

MIAMI, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The surviving members of the Bee Gees -- Barry and Robin Gibb -- made their first appearance without brother Maurice for a Miami charity.

The Bee Gees stopped performing three years ago after Maurice died following emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage. He was 53.

His brothers staged a private concert at Miami's Diplomat Hotel to raise money for the Diabetes Research Institute, Barry Gibb's publicist Paul Bloch told People magazine.

Among the songs they performed were "Stayin' Alive," "Massachusetts," "How Deep is Your Love" and a tribute to Maurice, "Don't Forget to Remember."

Maurice was the second brother to meet a tragic ending. Their youngest brother, Andy, died of a heart ailment in 1988 at age 30.
