LONDON, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Coldplay frontman Chris Martin says "people are fed up with the band" and so they have decided to take a break.
Martin made the comment Wednesday night as the superstar band accepted Brit Awards for best single and best album, the Mirror reported Thursday.
"This means so much to us, especially now," Martin said in accepting the awards. "It's going to be a few years before you see us again.
"People are fed up with us -- and so are we."
Friends told the Mirror Martin wants to spend more time with his wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who is expecting their second child in April.
