LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Oscar winner Kathy Bates and Emmy winner Ed Asner will join comedian Norm McDonald in voicing the animated holiday film "Who Stole Santa's Sack?"

The flash-animated film feature is the first for Renegade Animation, the producer of Cartoon Network's "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi," The Hollywood Reporter said.

The tale will be narrated by "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno. Other voices on board include Andy Griffith, Brad Garrett, Shirley Jones, Colin Ford and Daniel Roebuck.

The story centers on a little girl, to be voiced by newcomer Madison Davenport, and her efforts to help Santa Claus find his missing bag of toys in time for Christmas.

TV scribe Robert Zappia wrote the story based on a tale his father told him as a child and will also direct.
