LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- CBS announced Wednesday it has shelved the critically acclaimed "Love Monkey" after only three episodes.
"Love Monkey is on hiatus and there's no scheduled return date," a network spokesperson told E! Online. Sources close to the show say the "Monkey" has been caged with little chance of return, the Web site reported.
"The Amazing Race" will move into "Love Monkey's" Tuesday night time slot starting with its season premiere Feb. 28.
Tom Cavanagh starred in the doomed show as a music industry exec making his way back up the ladder in work and life in general, by starting at the bottom rung. The cast also included "Beverly Hills 90210" alum Jason Priestley.
CBS said it will fill the slot with an "NCIS" rerun next week and a "CSI" rerun the week after.
