LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Bill Nye "The Science Guy" married musician/writer Blair Tindall during a conference where he was the guest speaker in Los Angeles.
The couple walked down the aisle Friday to the wedding march played by cellist Yo-Yo Ma and MIT Media Lab professor Michael Hawley on the piano, Zap2it.com reported Wednesday.
Tindall is a former concert oboist who has played with several symphonies and contributed to soundtracks for films such as "Malcolm X," "Snake Eyes" and "Crooklyn." Her book, "Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs and Classical Music," describes her life as a freelance classical musician.
Nye, 50, is best known for his nine years as public TV's "Bill Nye, the Science Guy."
