Lohan starts Fashion Week with rock signal

NEW YORK, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan jumped-started New York's Fashion Week by throwing out rock's devil horn salute during the Heart Truth Red Dress show.

Dressed in a floor-length Calvin Klein gown, Lohan led the parade of stars in the Saturday night charity fashion show to help women fight heart disease, the New York Post reported Sunday.

Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards' daughters, Theodora and Alexandra, cheered on their mom -- Patti Hansen -- and Broadway icon Elaine Stritch sang "You Gotta Have Heart" during the event.

Kenneth Cole upheld his tradition of staging the first official show of Fashion Week as Mother Nature upheld her tradition of raining on Cole's fashion parade, the Post said.

At least this time he was prepared, the Post noted, presenting a rainy day palette of dark neutral colors such as charcoal, cement, black, cocoa, peat and butterscotch.
