LOS ANGELES, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- It looks like Mandy Moore and James McAvoy will play spouses in the Hollywood thriller, "Twist of Fate," it was reported Wednesday.

The duo are in final talks to star in the film being directed by Jennifer Elster, Daily Variety reported Wednesday.

The story by Wendy Ross tells what happens to a couple after a hit-and-run accident.

Shooting is scheduled to start in May.

Moore next appears with Hugh Grant in "American Dreamz" and "Southland Tales" with Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson and Seann William Scott.

McAvoy, of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," stars in the upcoming "The Last King of Scotland."
