ATLANTA, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney,D-Ga., returned from the Sundance Film Festival to find the outside of her Atlanta home strewn with video tape.
"Obviously, someone wants to send a message that they know where I live and can have access to my front yard to do unkind things," McKinney said in a statement Tuesday.
McKinney was in Park City, Utah, for the Sundance screening of "American Blackout," which looks at her career and the history of black voters in the United States. The film won the Special Jury Award for documentaries.
"We are pleased with the success of 'American Blackout' at the Sundance Film Festival and hope everyone who cares about our country will make a point to see it," McKinney said.
McKinney reported the video tape incident to the police.
