LOS ANGELES, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Sarah Michelle Gellar will pass her curse along to Amber Tamblin in "The Grudge 2," Columbia and Ghost House Pictures announced Wednesday.
Gellar, who starred in the 2004 original, will only make a cameo in the sequel, but director Takashi Shimizu, writer Stephen Susco and producers Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Taka Ichise are all back for part two, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Along with Tamblin, the new cast includes Arielle Kebbel and Teresa Palmer as American schoolgirls in Tokyo, The Reporter said.
The sequel will reveal the secrets behind the grudge while introducing new characters connected by the curse.
