Web is being cast for 'Spidey 3'

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Hollywood director Ron Howard's daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, is reported in talks to play Peter Parker's first high school crush in "Spider-Man 3."

Sam Raimi is directing the movie, which is scheduled to start filming this month, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The character of Gwen was kidnapped by the Green Goblin and died in "Amazing Spider-Man" comic book issue 121, The Reporter noted.

Although Columbia Pictures is hush-hush about the third movie's plot, it is known that there is a love triangle and this time, Gwen survives.

Tobey Maguire, James Franco and Kirsten Dunst will all be back for the new installment along with villians played by Topher Grace and Thomas Haden Church.
