Wu-Tang Clan to hit the road

NEW YORK, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- The Wu-Tang Clan are reuniting for a brief U.S. tour to celebrate the life of the late Ol' Dirty Bastard, who died a little more than a year ago.

Some proceeds from the tour will go to help Dirty's family, Wu-Tang member Raekwon told MTV.com.

The Wu-Tang tour starts Feb. 7 in New Haven, Conn., and winds up Feb. 19 in Orlando, Fla.

"We haven't seen people since all the stuff's been going on, so we figured we'd set up a tour," Rae said. "The staff got together and we was like, 'Yo, we need to all go out and show the people we're still one.' At the same time, this is in the honor of my beloved (friend).

"We got to do it. It gives us an opportunity to ventilate and go through whatever we go through. It's like yo, we taking the family on a trip again and on the course of the trip, we get to talk to one another again."

The last time Wu-Tang appeared together was shortly before Ol' Dirty Bastard -- whose real name was Russell Tyrone Jones -- collapsed and died in a Manhattan recording studio in November 2004.
