Lucy Lawless guests on 'Vernonica Mars'

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Lucy Lawless will guest star on the first episode of 2006 of UPN's "Veronica Mars."

Lawless -- who starred in "Xena: Warrior Princess" -- will play an FBI agent in the Jan. 25 episode, called "Donut Run," Zap2it.com reports. Lawless' character comes to Neptune after Duncan breaks up with Veronica and disappears with the child he had with the comatose Meg.

The episode was written and directed by "Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas, Zap2it.com said.

Lawless was most recently seen in CBS's campy horror movie, "Vampire Bats." She will reprise her guest role on "Battlestar Galactica" next month.
