NEW YORK, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Foo Fighters guitarist Dave Grohl and his wife, former TV producer Jordyn Blum, are expecting their first child.

The new Foo is due in the spring, MTV.com reported.

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins let the news slip last week during an interview about the band's upcoming tour and a rep for the band confirmed the news Wednesday.

"We're going to be touring Europe in January and February, but we've got be home by March, because Dave and his wife are having a baby," Hawkins said. "But I probably wasn't supposed to tell you that."
