LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Golden Globe nominee, British actress Rachel Weisz, is five months pregnant.

The 34-year-old star of "The Constant Gardener" is engaged to director Darren Aronofsky, People magazine reported Tuesday.

Weisz made the announcement Monday night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

"I found myself a sophisticated, educated American," she told Leno of her finance. "He's not an actor. He's traveled the world. He knows where Europe is, unlike a lot of Americans. He's very cultured, but he's all man."

Aronofsky directed the mom-to-be of his child along with Hugh Jackman in "The Fountain," a sci-fi romance due out later this year.

"At work we're very different to how we are around the house," Weisz told People. "I got to see his professional side. I've got a lot of directors to compare him to, and he's very talented. It's sexy to see someone be good at something."
