Michelle Obama tops 'Fascinating' list

NEW YORK, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The National Society of Film Critics has split from the rest of the pack and chosen "Capote" as the 2005 film of the year.
The majority of U.S. critics' groups have named "Brokeback Mountain" film of the year, the Los Angeles Times noted Sunday.
But the 57-members of the society did not even place Ang Lee's story about gay cowboys in its top three.
"Capote" won top honors after an unprecedented six ballots at Sardi's in New York Saturday.
Only one vote separated "Capote" from runner-up "A History of Violence," the Times said. "2046," from Hong Kong writer/director Wong Kar-Wai, finished third.
