MIAMI, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- An asthma attack has sent teen actress and singer Lindsay Lohan to a Miami hospital.
Lohan, 19, was in Miami hosting a private New Year's Eve Party, MTV.com reported Tuesday. She suffered an asthma attack attributed to Miami's humidity Monday night.
Lohan has suffered from asthma for a long time but had not had an attack for years.
"It's the first attack since I've known her," Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, said. "She's had attacks before, but not that many, and not recently. She's taking it easy now, she's resting comfortably. She's just tired and not feeling too good. It took a lot out of her."
Lohan was expected to remain hospitalized for a few days, then return to New York for filming of her movie, "Chapter 27."
