BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Master chef Wolfgang Puck was tapped Thursday for his 12th consecutive stint as head of the gala dinner for the Oscars' Governors Ball.
The celebration takes place following the telecast of the Academy Awards, which is slated for March 5, 2006.
"The Governors Ball is the Super Bowl of Hollywood events," Puck said in a news release. "We will create an innovative menu; a culinary interpretation of the evening's theme. While keeping a few traditional items, my team will design a once-in-a-lifetime experience where guests can celebrate the year's achievements."
Puck will be responsible for feeding 1,600 guests in an upstairs ballroom of Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
