HONOLULU, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Legendary Hawaiian entertainer Don Ho was back in Honolulu Tuesday after undergoing experimental stem cell therapy in Thailand two weeks ago.
Ho returned home Monday, the Honolulu Advertiser reported Tuesday.
"He is continuing his rest and recuperation at an undisclosed location," Ho's publicist, Donna Jung, said. "We're delighted to say that his health is improving dramatically."
The treatment Ho underwent Dec. 6 in Bangkok involved injecting his own stem cells directly into his heart to strengthen the muscle. It has not been approved in the United States.
Ho had said he hoped to resume his popular show around Christmas, but no date has been announced for its resumption, the newspaper said.
