Norway's heir to the throne has new heir

OSLO, Norway, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Norway's Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit have produced another new heir to the throne -- a son.

The 8-pound, 11-ounce boy whose name has not been revealed yet was born Saturday at Oslo's Rikshospital, hellomagazine.com reported.

The infant becomes third in the line of succession after his father and his nearly 2-year-old big sister, Norway's first female heir to the throne, Princess Ingrid Alexandra.

The announcement of a royal child's name is traditionally made by the prime minister after a special Cabinet meeting. The announcement was expected to come sometime Monday, hellomagazine.com said.
