NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Shock Jock Howard Stern says he's matured beyond saying "vicious things" like when he once wished an FCC official's cancer would spread.
"You know what, I don't know that I would do that now. I'm older," Stern, 51, says in a "60 Minutes" interview airing Sunday.
Stern -- who is moving to Sirius Satellite Radio in January -- used his radio show in 1992 to wish Federal Communications Commissioner Alfred Sikes' prostate cancer would spread.
"When I get angry and really fired up ... I will say vicious things," Stern told interviewer Ed Bradley, the New York Post said.
Stern has no regrets about saying that, however.
"If you're going to be strong on the radio, you've got to let it all hang out, even the ugly stuff, and you can't apologize for it," he said.
Sikes has reportedly beaten the cancer.
