LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Actor Tom Selleck is headed back to series TV in a rare guest appearance on ABC's "Boston Legal."

Series creator David E. Kelley wrote the guest starring role especially for Selleck, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

In the episode scheduled for Feb. 21, Selleck will play Ivan Tiggs, the ex-husband of Candice Bergen's character, Shirley Schmidt.

Tiggs, described as eccentric, self-assured and still carrying a torch for his ex, wants Shirley to be the best man at his wedding, The Reporter said.
