LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- NBC Tuesday said it was renewing its popular weight-loss reality show, "The Biggest Loser" for a third season.
In making the announcement, NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said "The Biggest Loser" is popular because it "tells a very relatable story for many viewers," Zap2it.com reported.

The live finale of season two is scheduled to air next Tuesday.
One of the final three contestants will win $250,000 and one of the 11 previously eliminated players will get $100,000 for losing the largest percentage of weight since leaving the show.
