NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- New York actor Chazz Palminteri says his acclaimed 1993 film "A Bronx Tale" is heading for Broadway.
The "Bullets Over Broadway" and "In the Mix" star penned and starred in the film and is now working on a musical version.
Although the movie was released more than a decade ago, Palminteri said people still constantly quote lines from the movie when they see him.
"I don't mind," he said. "How could I get sick of it? It's about my life. It was a play, a one-man show, and then it became a movie. I've worked on it for years and now it's going to be a Broadway musical. Jimmy Webb is doing the music. So, I'm looking forward to that."
In addition to writing the book for the musical, the actor said he also plans to reprise his role as the gangster Sonny when it bows on Broadway in the next year to 18 months.
