Destiny's Child sings into the sunset

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The women of Destiny's Child sang their final song as a group on ABC's late night "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Radio contest winners from throughout the country were flown to Los Angeles Tuesday for the hour-long goodbye from the trio that has sold more than 40 million records since bursting on the R& B scene in 1997.

The group opened the show with their new single "Stand Up for Love" and closed with the Grammy-winning "Survivor."

All three members assured Kimmel they will remain "sisters" and the split is strictly a career move.

"I think the most beautiful thing is that we're not parting because there were problems," Kelly Rowland said. "We're parting because we're celebrating each others' growth."

As for a reunion down the line, she left that door open.

"You never know," Rowland said.
