LONDON, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A spate of archival projects has left the pop duo Eurythmics feeling proud of their past.
"It's a special thing, I think, looking at it from this distant point of view," says singer Annie Lennox, who formed Eurythmics with ex-boyfriend Dave Stewart in late 1980. "I think the songs we've written and recorded together span quite a long period of time, and they're beautiful songs. It's a certain kind of sound. It's a certain kind of identity, I guess."
Eurythmics -- whose last project was the 1999 "Peace" album -- have just released remastered and expanded versions of their eight studio albums, a week after putting out an "Ultimate Collection" best-of set that features two new songs. There are no plans for a full-scale reunion as of yet.
Eurythmics will be inducted into the U.K. Music Hall of Fame on Wednesday in London. VH1 will tape the show for broadcast on Nov. 26.
