California D.J.'s death 'suspicious'

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Authorities in Bakersfield, Calif., say new evidence has raised suspicions in the death of a popular country radio disc jockey.

Karen Ann Garcia, 34, was found dead Monday at her home. Police were sent to the home of the KUZZ music director and night DJ after she failed to show up for work, the Bakersfield Californian reported.

Although some tests were still pending, early autopsy results revealed suspicious trauma, the coroner's office said.

The cause of death has not been revealed.
