Dan Rather returns to CBS airwaves

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Retired CBS News anchor Dan Rather is getting ready to return to the air for the first time since stepping down from the nightly newscast in March.

Sunday night's "60 Minutes" will broadcast Rather's profile of CNBC "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Rather left the evening news amid controversy over a report on President Bush's National Guard service on the now-defunct "60 Minutes Wednesday."

He reportedly has been traveling extensively on assignment for "60 Minutes," but this would be Rather's first piece to actually air, the Times said.
